NOTD: OPI I Don’t Give a Rotterdam!

This color is a gorgeous greyed cool periwinkle with fine silver, pink, and lavender glitter. This is such an unusual color, I really love it. The glitter also runs pretty densely through the polish, which is surprising considering the pigment is rather sparse and it is a glitter, not a shimmer. It is very sheer, so it takes three coats to build it up, but it dries extraordinarily fast so that doesn’t really cause any problems. The formula is also rather brittle in a way (possibly from the density of shimmer?), which can lead to a shorter wear time. A good topcoat (like the fabulous NYC Grand Central Station) will take care of that. Honestly the quality of the polish isn’t stellar but the color is, and you can certainly work with it. It’s certainly worth it!

NOTD: OPI Eiffel for this Color

This is a really nice dark purple, and I think this is a great alternative to black. You do need 3 coats to get it fully opaque, but it is a really nice color! I will really enjoy wearing this in the fall as well.

NOTD: OPI Uh-Oh, Roll Down the Window

So I know this color may not be to everyone’s taste, but I personally adore it. i have wanted this color for a really long time, and I finally got it this month for my birthday! It is a dark olive-y green, an army green maybe? I don’t know. The name is cute, and a little bit apt, I must admit. This came out in the Touring America collection, I believe.

NOTD: OPI Lucern-tainly Look Marvelous

This is one of the polishes I got from my sister for my birthday, and I love it!! It is an amazing metallic gunmetal-gray color, the kind of polish the Black Widow might wear. Well, in my mind, anyway. Maybe I’m crazy but this polish makes me feel slightly badass…

NOTD: Wet n Wild Bijou Blue (443D)

I would just like to start off this post by saying, I don’t think this polish is aptly named. Instead of calling it ‘Bijou Blue’, I think it should be called ‘Superhero Blue’. That is what this polish really reminds me of, a superhero’s cape. Which just makes it awesome. It is an interesting color, not quite turquoise but not your classic blue either, with a not-quite-greeny-turquoisey shimmer running through. This polish is pretty, dirt cheap, and does not use animal testing… not bad, Wet n Wild! OK, truth be told it does tend to chip… well, a lot. But you can just wear a good base coat and you’ll be good to go! Another good thing about the polish? It really truly does give ‘Wild Shine’, it is glossy enough that if you are pressed for time, you can skip topcoat and still be fine.

NOTD: butter LONDON British Racing Green

This is by far my favorite color of all time, I love it so much!!!! I don’t know if it truly picks up on camera, but this polish is absolutely gorgeous, it is a british racing green (go figure) with the most subtle green-y shimmer going through it. It is completely opaque with 2 coats. I must say though, the polish does chip horrendously, but considering just how gorgeous the color is, I can just grab a good top and base coat and deal!!
